Ariel Gail

Prof. Gail S. Goodman holds a Honorary Chair in Psychology at the University of California Davis and is Director of the Center for Public Policy Research. Her name is well-known for her pioneering modern research of eyewitness accounts from children's memories and also the application of child victimization in court. Professor Goodman publishes widely has received several grants and was awarded many national and international awards. She has offered consulting on research and policy to numerous agencies and government departments across the world. She serves as a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center which was previously known as the Multidisciplinary Interview Center - of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She has been a member of numerous professional organizations, such as the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. (Divisions Experimental Psychology and Developmental Psychology Society for Child and Family Policies and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56) She is a founding member of the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development, and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was President of the The American Psychological Association's 3 divisions, Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Child and Family Policies and Practice.
